As mentioned in class I will be adding a couple of "pointers" or thoughts on the course this week prior to the mid-term. For example,
We talked about the fact that all municipalities in northern Ontario are "single tier", that is; there is no upper tier. This differs from much of southern Ontario where most municipalities are in a county or regional structure.
Also, I mentioned in class that Baldwin Township was missing from the maps we looked at in the Local Government Structure session.
On a completely different subject: What's the definition of permafrost and why would we care? (think of development issues...)
