Yes, marking is done!!! Yeah! (All papers and mid-terms will be handed back on the 5th).
I noted "Iqaluit" and "Alaska Highway" above because I saw so many versions of these words while I was marking the mid-terms.
I think the most common versions were:
Iqualuit and Alaskan Highway....
I have some sympathy about the capital of Nunavut --especially for anglophones it is so tempting to add a "u" into the name. Not sure why so many students wrote "Alaskan" Highway though...especially considering that most of the hwy is in Canada??
This thursday pls bring the coursepack and if you are doing a presentation be sure to bring all of your journal articles and newsclips. See you then.
