Great Movie on the North

If you like movies and the north you may have already seen "The Necessities of Life" (Ce Qu'il Faut Pour Vivre). This is a 2009 movie about an Inuit man who was taken to a southern hospital because he had tuberculosis. It's an award winning movie (sorry, I would need to google it again to pick up the awards). I recommend this (don't be afraid of it being too depressing, as it's not). Yes, it's sad, and touching, but it draws you in with small bits of humour and was one of the best films that I've seen in a while. Natar Unqalaaq plays Tiivii, the Inuit man who is the centre of the movie. His friendship with another Inuit, a young boy who also has TB, is an amazing vehicle for story telling.
